Between forest and clutter…
Sometimes, things get lost. Keys, single socks, buttons, little treasures. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, they find their way to Thimble.
Thimble is a moss sprite who lives somewhere between the wild of the forest and the clutter of the craft room. She carries a magical satchel filled with lost, forgotten, and unfinished things.
She believes everything belongs somewhere.
She also believes she has a very good system for making sure it gets there.
Meet Thimble
Thimble is curious, earnest, and a bit mischievous. She is a collector and a maker, sentimental about small things. She notices what others might overlook.
She is especially drawn to things that have been misplaced, forgotten, or left unfinished. Thimble doesn’t think being lost means being unimportant. She believes that lost and forgotten things matter, unfinished things deserve patience, and everything belongs somewhere.
She can be very serious about her work. She can also spend an entire afternoon sitting beneath a tree with a tiny cup of tea. Both things are important.
Where Thimble Came From
Long ago, a sewing thimble was lost in the forest. It was forgotten there for a very long time.
Moss began to gather inside of the thimble. Then, one night, underneath a bright and full moon, the thimble became filled with stardust.
When morning light first broke, Thimble opened her eyes for the first time.
The original thimble she was born from is still with her. It is one of her most treasured possessions. Sometimes it becomes her hat, sometimes her bed. The original thimble is home to her.
The Satchel
Thimble carries a little satchel wherever she goes. The satchel doesn’t seem to follow ordinary rules. It contains more than should possibly fit inside. Lost things, forgotten things, important things, unfinished things, things that aren’t ready yet. Sometimes an item becomes difficult to find, seeming to disappear amongst everything else.
When something is truly ready to go home, Thimble can reach inside and retrieve it instantly. Thimble says she has her own system. No one else completely understands it. The satchel may have opinions of its own. Thimble has never offered an explanation.
If You’ve Lost Something
Thimble does accept requests, but there is a proper way to ask.
Every request begins: “Between forest and clutter…”
Be polite. Be sincere. And, if you can, tell her why it matters.
A request does not always mean an immediate return. Some things need time. Some things aren’t ready. Some things may be simply waiting for the right time. And remember, Thimble believes that everything belongs somewhere.

She doesn’t necessarily keep everything she finds. Some things are meant to be returned, but some things are simply too interesting to ignore.
Small Discoveries
Thimble’s story is always growing. New discoveries appear in ACEOs, stories, and little glimpses into her everyday life. Some discoveries become part of her known story. Some raise new questions. Some simply remain mysteries.
Thimble’s world is meant to be discovered slowly. Not every mystery has an answer. Not every lost thing is ready to be returned. Not every story has been found yet. For now, these are the things we know.
