WIP #4: March 22 – 29, 2021
Hi again everyone! With 3 projects in progress, I spent 18 hours designing this week.
On an exciting note, I finished the motion design project for Simmer! This project was a huge challenge for me, since I’ve never done anything like this, and especially not to this scope. In fact, you can watch my very first project for this class by clicking here. Simmer, being my second project, is obviously a huge jump. In the end, though, I am proud of the result. Check it out below:
Once again, I do not own the rights to the song! I am just a student using this audio for a project.
Calesthesia is in Phase 2! Now that the presentation is completed, I can really start to work on the branding and eventually the wireframes and final product. I decided that I will be designing a calendar app, which could possibly expand into having AR (augmented reality) functionalities if I choose to continue this project once the semester is over.
For class, though, I’m hoping to have a fully designed app with a clickable prototype. I’m hoping I will also have time to build in customizable features as well. This week, I started by brainstorming and sketching out wireframes for the app interface.
This week, I designed 3 more prints for Happy Studio. I’m planning on selling 5 different poster designs just to start, and the 3 you see above put the initial set up to 4 total! Next week, I plan on rolling out the final design as well as the official page on my website. (If you’re interested in anything you’ve seen so far, send me an email or a DM on Instagram to preorder!)
Finally, I just wanted to take a moment to write about my sweet dog Casey, who we lost this week. She was our 15 year old beagle/collie and she was also my childhood best friend. It has been hard and I miss her every day, but she lived a happy life and we have so many great memories. Above are some of my favorite more recent photos of her. I’ve kept her red collar.
Thank you for reading! I will continue to work on Calesthesia and on Happy Studio prints, and I will be starting a brand new motion project as well!
